Leveling Up: Green’s Functions Master.

February 27th, 2008 Jason Posted in Computing, Master's Thesis 4 Comments »

Okay, my previous post was about 4 or 5 weeks a head of schedule. That was my first answer which was completely wrong! Heh, but now I’ve confirmed everything with Ansoft HFSS and I have officially leveled up to Green’s Functions Master.

So, over the past 6 months I have been able to stop all schoolwork, write up my Master’s thesis and be done with it. But being the masochist that I am, I decided to set 3 paths or “outs” for myself.

Marquette Seminar Presentation :: Feb. 1st 2008

February 1st, 2008 Jason Posted in Master's Thesis, Papers 11 Comments »

So it seems my last post was a little premature. I haven’t gotten the correct answer yet but I’ve been working on some stuff that will get me there. I think I can get the single slot application working in the next week or so. And again, I will probably be so happy that I will blog about the results. eesh

Below is my presentation for today. It sums up a rectangular version of the problem and the steps to go about solving my problem. Hopefully my next presentation at the end of the semester will be a completed thesis.

So let me explain how awesome this picture is:

masters.png

This picture is a plot of the Magnetic field of 100kHz in a rectangular wave (0.1×0.05 inches) if a slot 0.002″ thick is cut in the sidewall to allow 100kHz penetration.

Otherwise, all you need to know is my master’s thesis took a huge turn for the better!

Rocky Mountain Conference Poster

August 6th, 2007 Jason Posted in Master's Thesis, Papers No Comments »

Not sure if anyone is interested but I have uploaded a poster I did at the Rocky Mountain Conference in Analytical Chemistry on July 2007. This poster is basically the outline to my masters thesis.

Feel free to comment.

Update

My master’s thesis has since change focus a bit.
